Once you have a StackCommerce account set up, head to the Partner Portal to connect your Shopify account.
Note: Before you can set up your Shopify Integration you must provide contact information and a verified US return address on your Account page.
Steps for connecting your Shopify store to StackCommerce
1. From the menu on the left-side of the page, click on Integrations
2. Select Shopify
3. Click Connect to Shopify
4. Enter your Store URL in the popup window and click Connect Shopify
5. Click on the Click here to go to your Custom App Development Page text and a new window will open
We recommend having your two browser windows side-by-side for the next steps, as we will be following along with the instructions presented in the link.rutterapi.com/shopifyprivate window as shown below.
Note: If this is the first time you're creating a customer app, your may need to "Allow custom app development" before you can "Create an app".
6. In the Shopify window, click Create an app
7. Enter "StackCommerce" into the App name field and click Create app
Note: The "App developer" will be someone from your business and not match the screenshot below
8. Click Configure Admin API scopes and add these permissions:
- Customers
- read_customers
- Products
- read_products
- Orders
- write_orders
- read_orders
9. Click Install app at the top-right corner of the page
10. Click install on the confirmation popup that appears
11. Under the Admin API access token, click Reveal token once
12. Copy your API access token and API key from the Shopify window to the link.rutterapi.com/shopifyprivate window and click Finish
